SCOTUS Says Corporations Can Buy Elections

On Thursday, January 21, 2010, the Supreme Court handed down what may be the most important ruling in our lifetimes. The court overturned a century of precedents to say that the 1st amendment gives corporations the right to spend unlimited amount of money on political campaigns.
When the ruling came down, I had been working for five days solid to produce the video you see here. It heralds the launch of FreeSpeechforPeople.org, a powerful new coalition that is calling for a constitutional amendment to say that corporations are not people and do not have the right to buy our elections.
