Just a few months after I produced this video for the DC Promise Neighborhood Initiative (DCPNI), the new organization won a $500,000 grant from the Department of Education to plan a “cradle-to-college-to-career” program in D.C.’s Ward 7, where the unemployment rate is 30%.
